CCA

KYPRIAKOS SYNDESMOS KATANALOTON

The Cyprus Consumers Association (CCA) is a prominent organization dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the rights of consumers in Cyprus since its establishment in 1973. Operating as a voice for consumers, the CCA focuses on a wide range of issues, including food safety, product safety, health care, and consumer rights. With a strong commitment to education and awareness, the Association conducts comparative market surveys and offers resources such as publications and workshops to inform consumers about their rights and responsibilities. By actively engaging with local and EU policies, the CCA strives to ensure a high standard of consumer protection and representation.

In the IMPROVE project, the CCA participates in WP5, organizing surveys and urban living labs that emphasize co-creation and active stakeholder participation. They aim to gather data on consumer acceptance of unconventional proteins, collaborating closely with the NDF. Through their innovative approaches, the CCA contributes to the development of a new protein concept while promoting public awareness and active citizenship among consumers.
