ETHNICON METSOVION POLYTECHNION – NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), founded in 1837, is one of Greece’s oldest and most prestigious engineering institutions. Known for its rigorous academic standards, NTUA is divided into nine schools, primarily focused on engineering disciplines, including architecture. The university boasts around 700 academic staff, 140 scientific assistants, and 260 administrative staff, catering to approximately 8,500 undergraduates and 1,500 postgraduate students. With a strong emphasis on research, NTUA actively engages in various projects, managed through specialized offices. It consistently ranks among the top universities in Greece and is recognized globally in the fields of engineering and technology.
In WP2, NTUA collaborates with CNR to assess the safety and quality of proteins, sharing findings to identify optimal extraction parameters with VRLS. In WP3, NTUA focuses on characterizing protein quality, specifically evaluating novel foods for composition, digestibility, and bioavailability. They also ensure product safety and compliance, working with VRLS to conduct large-scale testing of the formulated products.
